RTC 6442R Piston Assembly 2.5D n/a

Piston assembly supplied complete with piston rings, gudgeon pin and circlips.
AE/Nural have been obsolete for many years therefore replacement only available.
Under the circumstances of unavailabilty of 2.5 n/a diesel pistons of the correct quality/specification we supply 2.5 turbo diesel pistons as a direct replacement. The piston is the same as the 2.5 n/a but with a coating on the piston crown and stronger construction (read heavy duty piston)
The replacement pistons available elsewhere are more often than not a copy of the early GKN version which haveĀ square corners in an area adjacent to the gudgeon pin which can over time fracture and lead to failure .Ā Square corners are not desirable in this type of component as they are considered crack inducing.
