Very well made quality product that replaced the 'as fitted' OEM unit which failed catastrophically contaminating the cooling system with lub oil on a 2.4tdci Defender. Ordered on Thursday night, at Gatwick on Monday and delivered to the front door on Tuesday - excellent service.
The unit is held to the block with 6 bolts - 2 long; 4 short . The re-designed spin on filter feature means one of the long bolts is no longer needed and can be discarded. The new casting stands slightly proud of the block and the original short bolts did not have the length of thread engagement one would feel comfortbale with so I replaced them with 5mm longer stainless hex bolts.
