ERR 1117 Oil Pump - remanufactured LR original including basket

The ERR 1117 oil pump assembly is a genuine Land Rover oil pump including basket, remanufactured. New internals fitted.

This oil pump is intended for the 2.5 applications as listed below although it will fit the earlier Series 2, 2a and 3 engines. Land Rover towards the end of the production of the 2.25 fitted the 2.5 oil pump to both 2.25 and 2.5 petrol applications.

2.25 application:
This oil pump can sound slightly noisy in the 2.25 Petrol Series applications as they have straight cut gears. Our advise for the 2.25 application would be to strip and inspect the original oil pump and perhaps replace the internals, if the castings are sounds. If the gears are in good shape they can be re used. The original 2.25 pumps are for all intents and purposes silent in their operation.
