Fitted by professional. No power gains, coolant mean temp is higher (coolant system refurbished new radiator, hoses and pump etc) and blows more smoke compared to my standard head. Bit disappointed due to premium price and no clear justification with results thus far :( Nothing to distinguish it from standard AMC head on packaging which I found disconcerting in conjunction with it's very standard feeling performance.

This mod has transformed the TDi engine performance, quieter, revs smoothly, more power, gear changing smoother, much more enjoyable drive. Too early to report on fuel economy, but I will update after having done 1000 miles. To conclude, very satisfied with product.

Drove a regular route from Sheffield to Kent fully loaded in the back and with a fully loaded roofrack. Ok my progress was slow due to roadworks and congestion but I used surprisingly less fuel than normal. My defender pulled a higher gear than normal comfortably and allowed much more use of overdrive.

The cylinder head has had some port work, however the handling of the head has left a series of scratches and marks on the induction gasket face. Therefore quality not particularly good.
