Having supplied hundreds of these bottom gasket sets your experience is not consistent with the norm.
Sump gaskets are made by machines that stamp out thousands at a time with specific tooling. It is not possible for one sump gasket to be different from all the others. We are unable to verify as you have not returned the gasket nor provided provided photographs.
