I had initially purchased and fitted a genuine Land Rover seal which failed immediately and leaked oil everywhere! After a recommendation I fitted this updated version, it was immediately apparent it was a much better fit on the crankshaft and is a better design too. So far it’s been perfect and I’ve covered 600 miles since fitting.

So much better than the one I previously fitted and yes I had to take the gearbox off a second time to fit this one. With hindsight I should have bought this one first. More robust than the cheap no name ones prevalent on the internet.

Seal is so much more substantial than other seals on the market , the quality gives me confidence of longevity , worth every penny.

GREAT SEAL FOR ALL 300TDi engines.

Had an OEM seal fail less than a day after fitting. Google research led me to this seal, which has now been fitted for a month without issue. Definitely recommend paying the extra bucks and doing it right the first time around!

I had to purchase this seal as I didn’t have a lot of fath in the other one which I had bought elsewhere in a blue bag, this one looks and feels a lot better and with the addition of the dust / grit seal stopping other crap from working it’s way around the shaft where the seal sits makes it a very good option for a replacement seal much better then some of the others Ps this seal does not come with a gasket so will need a good Rtv sealant.

See if it stops the leak.

Top quality upgraded oil seal. Much better quality than the Genuine or aftermarket. The rear main on my 300Tdi is now finally leak free. For such a labour intensive job, there is no point in fitting anything else.
